On Tuesday, January 28th a revised version of the Marriage Protection Amendment, HJR 3, passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 57 to 40.

Impact of Revising The Marriage Protection Amendment!
Since HJR 3 was changed on Monday, January 27th, the citizens will not have the opportunity to vote November 4th to protect marriage between one man and one woman, unless HJR 3 is returned to its original version!
Next Step — The State Senate!
HJR 3 now moves to the State Senate. Advance America still believes that Hoosiers should have the opportunity to vote on November 4th to protect marriage between one man and one woman.
In order to do this, Advance America will be working with Senators to add the language back into HJR 3 that was taken out in the House of Representatives on January 27th so Hoosiers can vote November 4th to protect marriage.
