Indiana permits parents to choose different options with regard to the educational setting for their children. Parents can choose a public school setting or they can choose a non-public school. They can also choose a charter school or home school setting. The 2008 General Assembly did not alter the present freedom that parents enjoy. In the future, it would be beneficial for the parents of Indiana if the legislature were to pass legislation that would provide educational scholarships so that parents could choose the best educational setting for their child.
