What Will Happen With Gambling?

According to a recent editorial, “a legislative study committee on gambling has some big questions to tackle.

Led by Senator Luke Kenley, R-Noblesville, the committee is supposed to determie whether riverboat casinos and so-called racinos based at horse tracks are taxed too much.

But the committee’s assignment also raises bigger questions.

Should Indiana join Nevada and New Jersey as places known more for gambling than anything else?  From another angle, should the culture of gambling, already dominant in a few counties, be encouraged to sweep the whole state?”
