In the 2009 Session of the Indiana General Assembly the two racetracks located in Shelbyville and Anderson were asking for a break on their taxes.
When the 2010 Indiana Geneal Assembly reconvenes in January, there may be an attempt to give a tax break to the two race tracks and possibly to the riverboats where legalized gambling takes place.
Advance America does not support any expansion of gambling and we do not support providing tax breaks to any of the gambling facilities.
Additionally, there may be an attempt to expand the types of gambling at the two racetracks and to possibly expand gambling through the creation of a casino in Indianapolis and possilby in Fort Wayne.
What do you think? Should the gambling facilities receive a tax break next year and should gambling be expanded?
If you have an opinion on this very important issue contact your Senator and Representative well ahead of the start of next year’s General Assembly.
