Senator Carlin Yoder is leading the effort in the State Senate to pass the Marriage Amendment. He has introduced Senate Joint Resolution 13 (SJR13).
Indiana must pass a Constitutional Amendment to protect marriage between one man and one woman and to stop same sex civil unions. SJR 13 would do that!
Amending the Constitution!
In order to amend the Indiana Constitution to protect marriage the Indiana House and Senate must pass SJR 13 in 2010 and again in either 2011 or 2012 and then the voters could vote in 2012 to approve the Marriage Amendment.
Hearing set for SJR 13!
The Senate Judiciary Committee chaired by Senator Richard Bray has scheduled a hearing for SJR 13 for 9:00 am on Wednesday, January 20th in the Senate Chamber of the State House.
