According to a recent poll conducted on behalf of the Indiana State Chamber of Commerce, a large percentage of those who responded to the poll believe that government spending at the state and local level is responsible for the massive property tax crisis that we are facing. Advance America believes that state and local government spending increases should be limited to population growth and inflation which would be about 2.9% – 3% a year. Many families do not receive pay increases of more than 3%. Additionally individuals living on fixed incomes may not receive any additional income.
