Legislative Update
There is some great news! Senate Bill 344 has been stopped!
Watch the above video to see how it was stopped.
In the 2016 General Assembly, legislation was introduced that would have greatly harmed religious freedom in Indiana. Senator David Long was leading an effort to pass Senate Bill 344. If Senate Bill 344 had become law in Indiana, the government would be given the right to punish a business owner if they refused to participate in a same sex wedding ceremony, because they believe that marriage should only be between one man and one woman!
Fortunately, thousands of people like you were informed through Advance America videos, Advance America emails, the Advance America website, Advance America radio spots and Advance America speaking engagements about the dangers of Senate Bill 344.
Then you got involved…and your voice was heard, loud and clear, in the Indiana State House!
Hoosiers contacted their legislators and told them to “Vote NO on Senate Bill 344 and any other bill that harms religious freedom,” and the legislators listened! By working together the people of Indiana stopped Senate Bill 344!
However, the fight is not over! Between now and March 14th Senator Long and the legislators working with him can still try to pass legislation to harm religious freedom in Indiana, by putting the language from Senate Bill 344 into another bill.
At Advance America, we will continue to keep a watch for such actions and other attempts to attack religious freedom in Indiana.
Thank you for making a difference!
May God bless you and your family, and may God bless Indiana.
