The Battle To Repeal Continues!

Senate Joint Resolution 1 has passed the Senate. This is the Constitutional Amendment to only cap property taxes, not repeal them. Under SJR 1 as it passed the Senate, property taxes will continue to go up as the value of your home increases. Incorrect assessments will still occur and many counties will see local option income tax increases. Property Taxes would still exist, property tax increases would still occur and if you couldn’t pay your property taxes the government will still be able to take your home and sell it!Efforts will be made to amend SJR 1 in the House to Repeal Property Taxes.
